Not My Anus, Uranus

In addition to being a jogging Mom, I am also a homeschooling Mom.  My son has recently, finally, started doing more work on his own.

Since my husband telecommutes, I can give my son some school work to complete, and then go out for a jog.  This week I gave him a handwriting assignment.  He had to list some things that were in the solar system.

When I came home and checked his paper, one of the things he had listed was "your anus".  Thinking he was being a smart ass, I told him he needed to erase "your anus."

He asked, "Isn't it a planet?"

I was still thinking he was being smart, and I said, "Yes, but it is spelled U-R-A-N-U-S."

He asked, "You mean I spelled it wrong?"

I was laughing so hard, I had to lean on the wall to stand up.  I do have to give him credit for spelling "your" and "anus" correctly.
